dan3411
Good Evening, I am new to the sport and now looking to obtain a SGC, so thought where better to learn about the sport and it's etiquettes that from the people that take part in it. I'm from Bedfordshire, the little experience I have is a few clay shooting rounds at Sywell Shooting Club in Northants and Sporting Targets in Beds also have partaken in a few lamping outings on a friends farm. I really enjoy the lamping side of the sport so decided I would consider getting my own license and gun. Thanks for reading

dan3411
Ok i will break the ice with the first one then; Does the gun cabinet have to be secured into a main wall or can it go into a cavity wall?
SSS
It can go on a cavity wall as far as I am aware, as long as it is firmly fixed to the joists. I will be corrected if I am wrong. I was unsure, so fixed it to a brick wall. All the best, SSS
Guest topshot_2k
I live in Bedford itself, yourself chap? just over the border in northampton. Can go on cavity wall aslong as securely fixed to structure.

AlistairB
Hi Dan, I'm Beds based as well. I had trouble with cavity walls and getting bolts to fix, so mounted my cabinet on it's back through the floorboards, FEO was happy with that. Called them first to come round and check what i wanted to do, all was well!
