mick miller
Well, took the .22lr and the broken toes for a hobble round a permission this evening, haven't been over in a while and its worked wonders. The rabbits didn't seem nervous at all, they just sat there whilst I gimped my way over all gimpy, set up the sticks and popped them in the head 7 shots for 7 rabbits. One of which kindly sat still after his buddy got bowled over. Now they're all skinned and chilling in a pals game larder - I swapped them for 2lbs of freshly made sausages. (Six in the photo, I shot another on the way to gutting them). Edited May 6, 2010 by mick miller

Frenchieboy
Great result mate! It's surprising how much better things seem after a good walk on your permission isn't it!

mick miller
Mate that Style looks brilliant, I can't wait for my variation to come in and get my Style. Good shooting Yes, the Style definitely gets more playtime than the .17 Varmint, due to the fact that I'm cheap and so is .22 ammo. Don't forget the bona-fide factoid that a silver coloured barrel is 73% more accurate than a blued one

Don't forget the bona-fide factoid that a silver coloured barrel is 73% more accurate than a blued one ;) So if I colour my barrel a silver colour will it help me to shoot straighter? Should I use silver paint or just wrap it in silver foil held on with elastic bands?
mick miller
So if I colour my barrel a silver colour will it help me to shoot straighter? Should I use silver paint or just wrap it in silver foil held on with elastic bands? Either'll do, its the silver colour that really helps. But if using foil I'd advise using the duller side as it won't frighten pigeons as much. By the way, another benefit is that magpies will flock toward you; for as we all know magpies love 'shiny' things (another certified factoid).
