Daveo26
Are they chrome lined? If you remove the chome lining does that leave the bore open to corrosion or wear? Just a thought.
Monkeywrench
I'm curious as to how they do this, do they actualy machine away material from the barrel or is it more of a stretching operation (like when they ease a dent from a barrel). I was told £40 a barrel when I casually enquired while buying some carts at Donaldsons in Bletchley so not much variation there.

Blackpowder
Passing the correct size reamer for the chosen choke down the barrel. Is this the same as regulating where the choking was classified according to pellet count rather than a drilled dimension, or am I away on a different tangent on this? CharlieT
Is this the same as regulating where the choking was classified according to pellet count rather than a drilled dimension, or am I away on a different tangent on this? Blackpowder Basically yes. When regulating, which should be done for a proper job, after the reamer has been put through a, for want of a better description, lead plug covered in grinding paste on a rod is used to make the final adjustments needed to achieve the desired pellet count for the chosen degree of choke. starlight32
just need a adjustable reamer  Its harder than you think to hand ream out a choke. My local takes most of it out with a lathe and then surface grinds to the final required dimension.
