lurcherboy
Digger, try to look for the dead bolt yale locks ,my old man had them fitted to all his Fords, youd have to take out the pillar to get in . Martin Same here Digger, they slow down access considerably, unfortunetly that leaves the glazing. I can break and be in the driving seat within 10 seconds. So what you need is the 'film' that is stuck on to all windows, its very, very difficult to break. I will try and find you a link for it. I hope you metered out justice on site Digger LB

Axe
I friend of mine had a Clifford alarm fitted with a proximity censor. It was very inpressive, walk within 2 feet and a very loud voice explaned the vehicle was alarmed and to walk away. If the advice wasnt heeded, then the alarm was set off. He also explained (as he was a car alarm fitter) that you could also have the bodywork charged so that anyone touching the vehicle would get a shock. But thats a typical 'american' thing. Not sure that would be legal here.

tattoo terry
long time ago when i worked in high wycombe the car always got broken into untill i phoned the wife and got her to send down an old gin trap with nice rusty teeth on it, where upon i cut a hole in the glove compartment, placed the said trap in and secured it to the steering colum and covered it with a rag, early hours of the morning one of our "travelling friends" let out a scream where upon we found him laying half in and half out the car hand still locked in the trap nicely, he was then "explained" to why it was such a bad idea to break into my car and even worse to get caught not much help as far a locks go but it did stop my problem terry
dunganick
probably stoped alot of other peoples problems unless he can break into a car with his toes

plexer
Don't see how the charging the bodywork would work, surely the paint is an insulator granted you could have some areas like under the handles or whatever that were conductive.
