digger
Malta is a good choice as suggested. If distance is not an object Tobago is great. If you do Malta book a night or two in the Grand Hotel on Gozo in a sea view suite, the swimming pool has one of the best views you can swim from and down near the harbour there is a great steak place. You may not want to leave the balcony of the room. Edited June 11, 2010 by digger

Chris Bb
England or abroad??....Never been Malta so cant comment....This country tho....Mid Wales is beautifull Sounds like abroad, did ask for SUN. SWMBO cant stand Malta, I can take it or leave it but hate foreign travel so basically it's a "NO". Mid Wales IS beautiful but weather is questionable? No, it's carp! Pushkin
Chris, give Madeira a try - great place for sight seeing and great grub at reasonable prices. Not expensive to get there either. Pushkin

Guest gloker
We have just got back from squirtyventura in the canary islands. Hot, chilled out, cheap beer/wine and stuff to do. You need a hire car to get about though. Nestors restaurant in caleta do the nicest steak I have ever tatsed (thats some statement I know. !) SSS
If you are staying in the UK, what about the highlands of scotland or the isle of skye? Norfolk is nice too
Kent Militia
Isle of sky is brilliant, the weather, atmosphere and people are so different it feels like you are in the Norwegian Fjords and not on mainland Britain.
