Catamong
Mossy, I've noticed the same in my area, it's a bit hit and miss, perhaps they're not that hungry yet and can afford to laze around in the woods on some days..?? Catamong
Decided on the spur of the moment to go out at dawn today, set up on a field of rape I'd not yet shot this season, some MEGA flocks of birds about, literally thousands, pulled off some cracking shots on birds flighting past with the 30 gram Clear Pigeon & 1/4 Rhine Choke in the 682, packed up at 11.30, but picked up only 16 birds...hardly worth it.. shawn9914
went out yesterday out for 7 hours and never fired a shot, never saw any birds on the rape and very very few in the sky, i have come to the decision i am going to put the shotgun away untill the spring drillings as i feel i am wasting my time. cheers shawn

heliman
Went out today pigeon spotting on a group of rape fields i have just got permission to shoot on. I found large numbers of pigeons on the rape, and noticed that there are very large areas of field that have no rape at all !! Don't know if the birbs have ate it or wether it has died off, one of the fields that was planted is now completley bare only a couple of patches of grass growing here and there. One of the other fields near the road is really doing well and has a good covering of thick grean vegetation. I am going back again as soon as the weather is right
