markm
Looking forward to this as much as I was with Toy Story 3 (which is outstanding), pixar (part of disney) have been involved in the making and they do nothing wrong. What films do you think need a sequel or remake now with modern digital effects?

shot shot
Jaws. nope, there's no point in ruining the legacy of a classic (i regard 2, 3 and 4 as cash cows) Edited August 28, 2010 by shot shot
Imperfection
Not really a fan of remakes and never did like the original Tron so wont be holding my breath for this version. However,i wouldnt mind seeing some of the older B movies being brought into the 21st century like 'Quatermass and the Pitt'. Hows about a Blakes 7 remake...

the running man
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1104001/plotsummary just been looking it up,looks good.as long as hollywwod can make money from it they will make it.if its done well, this is where they take things very carefuly. some films will never be able to be remade,as you could never make them better, kelly heroes, jaws, platoon, midnight run, nikita (they tried) ,the deer hunter, godfather, godfellas, dune.the list is not endless, but i do think you cannnot improve on perfection. the new tron film looks great,i loved the orig, and still love the orig. ide personally like to see a third instalement of 48hrs another beverly hills cop. and another grosse point blank. Guest
how about a sequel season to firefly 2nd'ed! Love that show.... Again, Jaws was perfect 1st time round (when will they get round to redoing the sound and releasing it on BlueRay ) I too am looking forward to Tron2 -sort of from the same era and another fave of mine, I'd like, with the right director at the helm, to see a remake of The Blackhole, but keeping the John Barry score. A very dark Sci Fi story considering it's a Disney movie.
Snap Cap
I have Jaws on VHS and DVD and it is a classic but when you think of the things they can do now with CGI the original shark looked a bit....well **** really. The obvious rubber teeth bending when Quint got eaten. And basically just how mechanical it looked. How about a remake of 633 Squadron or The Battle of Britain? They did a good job of Flight of the Pheonix but leave Ice Cold In Alex well alone though. Edited August 29, 2010 by Snap Cap

They did a good job of Flight of the Pheonix but leave Ice Cold In Alex well alone though. during filming, the mechanical shark broke down so much that speilberg opted to show only a few shots of the shark, thus adding to the tension, and anticipation. if more of the shark would have been shown as scripted originaly then the film prob would have bombed out as a flop,as it was is was perfect, with perfect performances, even by the rubber shark!! Snap Cap
They mention about the times the shark broke down on the exta's on the DVD. It was not working most of the time by all accounts. It also does not follow Peter Benchley's novel too closely either.
