Bazooka Joe
How many has Rifle Swivels that rattle getting the gun on & off your back etc ? Here's an easy remedy to silence the Quick Release Ones. All you need is a piece of plastic pipe, cut to length (see photo) Measure the O/D, & drill your Swivels to suit. Slide the plastic pipe over the inside pin of the swivel, then insert the plastic/pin through your swivel stud, & lock. That's it, now silent, & when the plastic wears just replace it. BJ. Dunkield
I bought a sling recently that came with 2 neoprene washers. You put the washer over the QD stud and then attach the swivel in the normal way, it is completely silent. If that doesn't make sense, and anyone wants to know more I will upload a picture. kent
Lubricating them works a treat also, unless done very well drilling the holes out might lead to an unsafe situation either in terms of gun damage or maybbe even a casualty. Thanks for sharing but keep this in mind
Dekers
My studs and swivels appear a relatively good fit and I don't have any issues, I tend to use a tiny drop of oil on them and this protects and lubricates. Can't ever remember any rattle issues with the studs, some squeaking in the past, simply cured by the oil again! Nevertheless, all tips worth considering!
