ShooterTom
Eley HB pigeon, 32g 6.5. Used them all summer on pigeons and rooks and they have been perfect. I payed £45 for 250 in fibre wad. I think firsts would be a tad light personally. But that is my opinion...
snozzer
If your a good shot 7.5's are fine, just do not overstretch yourself and take long or wild shots...

Fishermanpaddy
I have been using Kent Velocity 6's (30 or 32 gram), Good all round cartridge for the pigeons. Think they are around £48.00 per carton (250)
Floating Chamber
.410 homeloads by far the cheapest! You don't need 32grams. Half an ounce and good decoying at sensible sporting ranges was always enough for me. I have around a dozen buddies who use nothing else! Cost? A little over two quid a box.
