spider.20
nice one axe! the first bag with a new gun is always grate. hope there's many more what rage did you take em from? was it the .22 barrle you had on? spider
Axe
Spider it was the .22 and the first was taken at 45 yards (top), second was taken at 75 yards (middle) and the last was taken at 60 yards (bottom). The riflle is very light and I hardly noticed carrying it about. The barrel nas not been shortened but with the sak mod, really doesnt matter. The winchester sub though causing a few probs were hitting very hard.

Axe
Jonno it was indeed the .22LR, having only had the rifle since Saturday I havent had the chance to try the .17HMR yet. But this weekend should resolve that.

Axe
I cant wait Frank, i've been treading the fields with SL and his 17 and its a fantastic bit of kit. Admitadly he has a PEZ mod on his but the crack is so short lived its brilliant. And they hit pretty hard too. Should have my own Fox to post soon. I ran through CCI Subs which didnt load to well, they have a thicker rim. But power wise they hit harder than the Winchesters and group fairly well. But the best I tried were the Eley Subs, similar to the Winnies they grouped much much better. Guess the .22 barrel just needs a good deal of lead through it. As far as the .17HMR is concerened, I worry the same. Will I go back to .22? I'll keep you posted.

And wax mate .............A desirable lining that is a welcome addition to accuracy .............But not Welcome in the action At my Gun club MOST run Eley's in their Ammo fussy Semi's.....For Winnies to work you normally have to uprate the extraction claw in the 10/22 Welcome to the FRUSTRATING But Enjoyable World of Rimmies Rome wer'nt Built in a Day Mate..........Be patient Ive
dunganick
personally i would clean the barrel after ever change in ammuntion. 2 reasons, sometimes copper washed bullets upset lead bullets, so you wont get a good group. it cant hurt to give your barrel a few scrubs, get the lapping process speeded up a bit. Sako does not reccomend scrubbing the barrel on any of the quad calibres, with a brush. They simply say push a patch through!
