You'll get more 'bang for your buck' if you buy secondhand. I've just bought a Busnell sportsman 4-12x40 for £38, retail price is £150 ish and is much more consistant than the Hawke scope that it replaced.

 

sounds like you got a bargain did you buy from this forum or else where?

Loads of options here. I like te Nikko Stirling Mountmaster 4-12 X 50 AO as a couple of the lads have already mentioned. Cracking Little scopes for the money they cost..nice wide objective that sucks in all the available light...good for roost shooting therefore i'd say. Mil-Dot too.......i think you can net yourself the IR version for around that £60 price bracket.
