Salop Matt
Hi guys, I dont have any access to wildfowling or any geese anywhere. But this christmas I would love to have some goose. Theres only me so am sure a crown or breast would be fine. How ever where can I get some from ?
Thunderbird
Why don't you get a whole one then you can roast it, keep the rendered fat for potatoes, chips...duck or rabbit leg confit.. Then whatever you don't eat on the day save for sandwiches, freeze some, curries etc.
Salop Matt
Because I think a whole one would feed me for 3 weeks and by the end of the first week I would be boarded of it !

Phil is bang on, I had one from Aldi a few years ago and it was very nice. They also do fairly small ones as well.
Dougy
Hi guys, I dont have any access to wildfowling or any geese anywhere. But this christmas I would love to have some goose. Theres only me so am sure a crown or breast would be fine. How ever where can I get some from ? To be honest you may as well buy a whole one as you will certianly pay top wack for just the crown, we used to charge about the same for a crown as you would have done for the whole bird, due to not being able to do anything with the legs. Sprackles
I have had Aldis goose many times and to be honest, its unbeatable value. The three bird roast is good too as is the duck. As for the three fish roast...hmmm.....as an ex commercial fisherman and also knowing where its made....give it a miss.

henry d
If it is your first time for goose then the above suggestions are good, as with wild birds you cannot be sure to get a youngster and to get a bird that has been about for many years will just put you off, unless you want to re-sole your shoes
