sako751sg
The old fella shot a fox, skinned it and filled and shaped with expanding foam. Its over 2 years old and looks to have a touch of mange now,but still does the job well.Set with an old carcase beside it and a couple of crow decoys and its spot on at taking in the blackies and maggies.Took them out for about an hour this morning but a severe lack of much going about really.Ended up with a hoodie and magpie in the bag with an absolute shocking miss at another easy maggie. steve_b_wales
Good idea. The Warrener uses a fox skin that's just draped over a frame. He reckon's he's had 100's of crows etc using this method. Steve.

Works a treat Steve,as long as they are going about. They mob and hover above giving excellent chance of a shot.Must be fell tucked in though as they are not stupid if something doesnt seem right. thats a corker, looks really good though does look like it ate one or two too many pies He does.I think he has more than a touch of bulldog in him. crackin idea Cheers fella. how did he shape it? It shapes naturally in the skin but just make sure it spreads evenly when expanding by pressing on the areas when its getting too big.As can be seen he has a bulldog look about him due to overfilling. Dave 101
Good idea I bet it took a while to sew the skin up , what did you do put a cork up its a**e to stop the foam coming out . I was telling a work mate about a fox I saw the other day in the middle of a snow covered field being mobbed by a couple of crows , and how it was to use a stuffed fox as a decoy . Dave The only bit to be sewn was a slit down the belly of it.If any surplus came out of any holes, rusty bullet wound included it was cut off when dry and hard.
