Glass Target Ball

Mods if you feel this is in the wrong place please move it for me.

I have an old Glass Target Ball that i found in one of our barns when we moved in, it was buried in the mud. I have had it in a draw for about 8 years and forgot about it untill today when i came across it again. On each side there is a man holding a gun and the rest of the top a cris cross patern and the bottom half a different criss cross patern, still a bit of dirt inside. Can anyone give me some info.

What sort of date would it be?

English or not?

Worth any money?

And anything else that might be of interest.

Thanks

Rimmy

Your right, same as English Shooter 2 of 5.

Now the big question do i sell to part fund a new toy or keep it. Difficult for me to display with 3 kids running around.

i would sell it and then you know that you have saved a piece of history. a collector will take good care of it and you get the bonus of a new toy :good:

After a chat with a few people on here who know what they are talking about i have decided to sell the Glass Target. That way someone can display it and look after it instead of it being stuck in my draw.

Pm me if you want further details, but you might guess where its for sale.

Thanks again to everyone who answered my questions, including Clayman and Wabbitbosher who sent me a pm and email.

Bit of a follow up to me selling this Target Ball.

It has been on the auction site for 7 days and has now sold for £385.00 :good: and even better i have been paid. Much more than i have been told by everyone. I think basicly 2 people wanted it for their collections and had a bidding war. Looks like i am a lot closer to a new toy than i first thought

Happy Christmas.

I just impressed, then instantly disappointed my missus when she saw me looking at that site. She thought that I, overcome with seasonal joy was perusing a site selling "antique Christmas baubles"
