What is the difference between the Beretta silver pigeon 686 and the 687? :hmm:

Thanks for any information :good:

As far as I'm aware it's only trim and finish, if there is any other difference it is minimal, but no doubt someone will be able to give us the detail! :good:

Does it have anything to do with Steel? :hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm: just a guess!

If you are talking about the original models, the 686 was lighter then then 687, and the 686 had a fluted fore end whereas the 687 had the schnabel fore end.

IIRC you can get both in 28" and 30"?

I had a 28" 686 and it was too whippy for me, so I bought a 30" 687 sporter and found it much steadier.

If you are talking about the current models you can probably ignore most or all of that

basically they are just two different models, the 686 is a cheaper model than the 687, they both come in 12g & 20G game and sporting models, both can be got with 28" and 30" barrels, the 686 can be got in a fixed choked model, both can be got with the Beretta mobile choke system, quality wise the 687 would be slightly better finished hence the difference in price, I've had both guns over the years and it boils down to personal choice and cost, both are excellent guns and second to none quality wise . Hope this helps.
