bobby dazzler
had a mate brought one of these couple of weeks ago this is a petrol though very good motors plenty of room for his lab and shooting gear in the back and we had to do a bit of of roading and it sailed through it no probs good motors
MITCHF
Had one mate, no complaints, mine was very reliable. More than capable off road, very under estimated. More room than you'd think inside, plenty in the rear for a dog. Good luck Edited February 17, 2011 by MITCHF

apache
Not bad little cars, as they age they rust. We had three over the years and it claimed them all. Thrive on neglect. Good off road. Just make sure if it has free wheeling hubs that they work and haven't seized up in 2WD.
sandspider
WHATS A SUZUKI GRAND VITARA 5DOOR TD 01 TO 03 LIKE.ARE THEY ANY GOOD FOR PIGEON SHOOTING. Nah, they're not very good shots and they have real trouble reloading the gun. Ahem. Sorry- I'll get me coat...
Cyffyllog
I have a three door and have used it for the past three years now, it drives up mountain tracks and off road for a laugh, landrovers get stuck because of the weight the Grand Vitara sails past, road tyres too, but wide wheels fitted, best thing since sliced bread!, mine is 1600cc petrol and I average about 33 MPG. Oops Missed Again
If you like Land Rovers they are awful bits of Japanese rubbish, but if you keep an open mind they are very good on and off road and year for year are much better value than a Land Rover
lindsay
I had a TD grand Vitara, sound wee motor, but the boot size was the only down fall, once you got 2 labs in thats it no room for any gear apart from back seats, not good if you had a car full Anyway wish i didnt get rid of it,i bought the wife a freelander but she hated it,so i keept it as its boot was bigger!!!! I have had an eye on the 3 door 1.6 but worried that it is quite a small engine for quite a heavy car. Do you find it has enough performance? Are you comfortable overtaking in it? Cheers Ian
