A few hours work on my kid's gun

I've recently bought a slightly battered and bruised Investarms .410 O/U for my girls.

 

It was a little rough, so went to town on it this week, and here's the finished result...

 

Basically I stripped down the wood right down to the white, sealed the two tiny cracks, steam-ironed out the dints and filled a couple of very deep ones, rubbed down for hours with 0000 grade wire wool, slowly sharpened the chequering with a fine chisel, then stained with Colron Deep Mahogany dye, and added seven coats of Napier Gun Stock Finish.

 

Quite pleased with the result, really :good:
