Hello all,

Being here for couple of weeks as guest so I decided to join. Really like the forum.

I have tons of questions since I’m new to UK as well! I did lots of shooting (Air Gun & Shotgun) in my country, mainly pigeon and partridge (we do not have pheasant there). As I noticed in UK there is no public land that you can go and shoot. In my country everybody is going to public lands for shooting. You just need permission (should be renewed every season) and that’s it.

Anyway, would you please introduce me to some website that gives me some information regarding needed permissions for buying, keeping shotguns and is there any shooting ground near to London (both Clay and game)?

Sorry for long introduction!

Thank you all for warm wellcome :good:

I'm located in NW London, in Kilburn area.

Looking at the links that ste12b provided, I'm a bit worried about that countersignatory. The sgc document listed some people that can sign a photo but unfortunately I do not have any friend in those listed jobs :/

What I should do regarding this?

Its a tad easier than the form makes out.

Try these:

Nurse, Accountant, Middle Management, company director, your boss?

If in doubt check with the plod. Also don't go to West London shooting school if you want lessons. Try Holland & Holland, a tad cheaper and some of the best instructors in the country work there. If its just pay and play clay shooting you want try AC sporting targets, its on the same road as WLSS and is cheap as chips.

:good:
