If the old lady had asked for a price and accepted the job I'd have kicked off big time! This poor guy has loaded his kit up to go and do a job he's been asked to do - that's not cold calling.

I'd have come close to being arrested I recon - I'd be fuming if that happened to me! I put £98 of diesel in my van earlier so when I arrive at a job I expect to make some money unless there's a genuine reason not to. I'd have invoiced the old cow for the time she'd wasted!

Forgot to add, how's it the police's fault? They were only responding to a complaint. I'd be doing an old person rant rather than a police one!

If plod had told her to allow him to come and he would send him on his way with a flea in his ear its down to him.

Posting a flyer is not cold calling or canvassing. Let’s ban all small business because plod can’t catch a few uneducated ******.

God help us........

They might be unedicated in one sense, but they are far more organised and skilled than you can ever imagine.

I don't imagine that's why I don't buy into police training courses that serve no other purpose than to make the masses think as the company thinks or try to emote a feeling of angst against a group of law breakers. If you can't see my point look again at your post on the training and read between the lines. If you have more brain cells than a daffodil you will be able to see the way you have already been manipulated to think the way all officers 'should' think about these people.

If you can't see it it's too late and will be a long time before you can once again think and act on your own without the force telling you how to think.

Your either not an officer or your very green. Think before you post my friend your doing no favours to the queer blue folk.

As for stopping the preying on the weak. The force is carp and standing on a driveway telling off the countries workers is about par for the course. Enjoy your ridiculous pention scheme, none of you deserve it and I won't enjoy paying for it into my old age.

By the way; could you do something about the parking outside my house as it's getting terrible with strangers taking all the spaces?

;)

Let me first end the myth on "no cold calling areas"

THEY HAVE NO LEGAL STANDING - That means if you do cold call you are not committing any offence.

The plod who warned about being put on a database - oh dear - Quick freedom of information request to the Chief Constable of the area along with a written complaint about being harrased by plod whilst going about a legitimate business, I would imagine get a very quick letter of apology.

I am very sorry. I came in late last night from some responsible drinking and well........ My appologies.

Apologies accepted. By the way, I'm hardly 'green', more like dead wood. I have been involved in more investigations involving our travelling friends than I can care to remember. We've had five old folk fall to the bogus official scam today alone! I can tell you stories about these people that would make your hair stand on end. I've won a few and lost a lot. These people might not be able to read or write, but they are skilled, resourceful and organised beyond your imagination. I will illustrate this by one story;

I heard a call about someone breaking into a groundsman's hut in another police area. I responded as I was close by - 10 miles away, and knew the area well. It was my old patch. Instead of going to the scene I went to a likely exit point and as soon as I arrived they were disturbed by the woodentops and came bolting out my way. I was parked across the track, sideways on preventing any way past. The Subaru 2.2 Legacy mounted a barrier and went straight over. By the time I turned round they were 100 yds in front of my 1.6 diesel Escort van (told you I was dead wood) but fortunately they had burst a tyre going over the barrier. I was able to chase them for five miles into a traveller's encampment. As I drove down the track barely wide enough for one car a Transit veered out of a gateway straight across my path. I was doing 50mph on gravel, the dog was out of the cage in the cab and I'd got a Tranny five yards in front across the path! :o

How I got round to this day I do not know, but some vegetation must have been sacrificed. If I'd hit the van the dog would have gone straight through the windscreen. I managed to find the Scooby - empty. A short track with the dog of about five yards took me to a caravan with a wet footprint on the step :D

I had already radioed up to let the next car know to lock up the Tranny driver. When I got laddo trussed up (wanted in four counties and groundsman's tools in the car) I went back to the Tranny and it's lady driver. She had a phone but no SIM card. We search ages to find the SIM in order to evidence the call that must have been made to get her to intercept me. We started stripping the van to pieces when suddenly the lady started wretching and spewed up........ a SIM card.

That's how organised and dedicated they are.

There is one way to beat them and it is blindingly obvious; Treat them the same as anyone else. Turn the Race Relations Act on its head. When they arrive go meet them and inform them where the council tax department is (they should pay council tax on mobile homes - stated case), where the nearest schools are and check all their horses for brands and passports, just as we would anyone else. If they don't make efforts to get their children into school prosecute them, just as we would anyone else. If they don't register for council tax, prosecute them, just as we would anyone else. If their horses aren't properly registered, prosecute them, just as we would anyone else. I did just that at Rotherham and they were vanished by the next day.

Trouble is, no one in authority has got the bottle to do it even though the ACPO policy allows for my suggestion.

Stop picking on the lawbreakers and go and find some OAP's parked on yellow lines - that's proper county policing. :good:

As if by magic an article arises that explains the current situation far better than I could. For once the Daily Mail have got something right. Political Correctness and the Police

Warning: Some of the images might compromise the Suffolk boys identity!

That was written by the guy who wrote 'Perverting the course of Justice' ....

The blog's worth reading.
