COACH
I`v heard the same thing about S.C from another ground owner that`s under a bit of pressure about plastic at the moment. :(
Diceman
I'm just not good enough or competitive enough to worry about fibre vs plastic, although I know some are. What surprises me is people saying that they would not go to a particular shoot if it was fibre only, even an English Open. Surely if the playing field is level ...? Catamong
Save your money, don't bother going, if it's anything like the last couple of Majors they've hosted the layout will be rubbish. It'll be the first English Open I've missed in over 20 years, but I just can't get excited by the place. You'll get better targets at your local YFC straw baler. Don't say you weren't warned..!! :o Cat

smallbore
Straight from the CPSA website today: English Open SportingSouthern Counties Shooting Ground 27th to 29th May Please note that there is no truth in the rumour this shoot will be restricted to fibre wads only. The ground has introduced a policy of fibre wads only for sporting practice not competition. Any queries please contact Kevin Newton, Ground Manager, at Southern Counties on 01935 83625. HDAV
What's it got to do with environmental inspectors? As long as they have a disposal policy and collect them, the horse arena poop suckers will do a grand job of plaswads

Just for the record, no Registered Sporting shoot can insist on a "fibre wad only" policy, that includes all Championship events. If the shoot is a Registered event, it must be run in accordance with the current rules, fact. Cat.

Hi Cat, As a newbie blabbing nonsence online if you read what i said you will notice that i didnt mention anything about the fact that the plastic wad ban was for "registered" sporting events, i was just trying to give you the heads up after i saw the sign in the clubhouse stating "Fibre wad only" and when i enquired with the office he explained that is was for the sporting layout only!!! Sorry if i confused you coz as i said i was only trying to give you the heads up!!!!
