snowz Posted May 15, 2011 Report Share Posted May 15, 2011 i might do that also my dad has a 243 an he uses 70 grain b tips and he shot a red deer in th neck at 300 yards aswell in it was suposed ot be about a 8 " drop! confused here now. Was he aiming at the neck @ 300yds and hit where he aimed or was he aiming at the head @ 300yds and hit the deer in the neck or was he aiming at the body and hit the neck @ 300yds?? sixhills 69 Posted May 15, 2011 Report Share Posted May 15, 2011 Of The Box Fedral 55 grain holow points (hieght of the bullet Trajectory in inches above or below line of fire.)sight if zero at 100yrds. sights 1.5 inches above the bore line. zero at 100yrd -2.7 inch drop at 200yrds -11.1 inch drop at 300yrds.
