:hmm: confused here now.

Was he aiming at the neck @ 300yds and hit where he aimed

or was he aiming at the head @ 300yds and hit the deer in the neck

or was he aiming at the body and hit the neck @ 300yds??

yes but out to 250 yards thats what we usually keep our shots in but the red was wounded and the fox was trying to get a lamb so both were shot and if they wernt injured or trying to kill live stock they wouldnt of been shot at.. by the way my dad is a gamekeeper

i'm already thinking of selling my custom rifles and reloading gear to buy one of those .223 and 243 and use factory ammo

what a waste of time and money going the custom rifle and reloading route

BTW i'm an engineering stores buyer :good:

Of The Box Fedral 55 grain holow points (hieght of the bullet Trajectory in inches above or below line of fire.)sight if zero at 100yrds. sights 1.5 inches above the bore line.

zero at 100yrd

-2.7 inch drop at 200yrds

-11.1 inch drop at 300yrds.

This is the info of the box so is fedral data which i think may hep in the debate.
