ziplex
My mrs puts up with muddy gear and filthy dogs especially during the Wildfowling season, she doesn't complain too much about parts of the house filled with rods and shooting gear either but the thought of her being on the foreshore with me fills me with fear and dread , likewise i'm sure........oh, the thought of it. She's very keen to eat any of what I shoot so I guess it's a joint effort of sorts. Edited May 13, 2011 by ziplex
shaun4860
Me and wife go carp fishing together and she loves it and has done for years, but she wont go shooting with me. She is well into her horse's and spends most of her time doing that when she aint at work which leaves me plenty of time for shooting ! Salop Sniper cant your wife find some one that needs a hand with horse's ie a bit of work, mucking out etc for rides. My wife is really lucky as a friend of the family has 2 horses and he is only really interested in one and the other is just for company and basically lets the wife take care of it but he pays for feed and shoes etc. His horse is a fresian and use's it for ride and drive (horse and cart) and does weddings etc and the wife helps alot with that aswell. He also employs her for house cleaning and washing/ironing etc as he lost his wife a couple years ago and struggles on his own at his age 72 i think ! My wife grew up with one of his daughters and is very good freinds today, so its nice for them as my wife is often there or down the yard incase anything happend to him as he has had a couple of falls of late ! Wife has just said that our local paper often has adverts for horse sharing or help wanted with horses might be worth checking out or advertise herself, wifes freinds have done that with success. Bit like trying to find permission i guess ! Anyway she wips my **** at fishing : 28lb common Dont want to rock the boat but i think your mates horse is a cow..... shaun
yates
I introduced my new partner to both my hobbies of shooting and flyfishing after she had hastled me to take her. I took her fishing and on the clays hoping that she would go once and that would be it. No such luck as she loves it and wants to go everytime. Game over i thought, but not quite. The consolation is that she has some pastimes that we do together but arn't for discussion on this forum. Thunderbird
Original...... Hmm, amazing that in two separate unrelated cases a wife could spend her husband's money. Go and find an original thought and bring it back here for me.
Ian750
My shooting time is definitely my own, though we did meet through both owning horses, now our horses are at home with us so I guess you could say we 'ride' together in more ways than one! J@mes, definitely learn to ride it will change your life, on second thoughts, no don't, it'll cost you a bloody fortune!!

Thunderbird
Someone nicked my wife's credit card the other day, haven't reported it though, as so far they're spending less than she was...
