chewyjack.22
Winnies for me, i have tried the cci stingers but my sako really dont like them although i think this is common with the sako rifles, it would not eject an unused round

trevor
i use the eley subs but have tried the stingers in my sako the problem with the stingers in the sako is that the bullet is on the rifleling and u can see the rifleing on the bullet when one does eject. Axe
Personaly I will never buy anything with with CCI written on the box again. Very unaccurate loads in .22LR. Very much a shame as every supplier seems to pro them, or is that becuase they make more profit on them as they get them very cheap. Even GMK (CCI Importers) suggest running the CCI in the Quad even though Sako USA will not garuntee the Quad if you use CCI.
Dunkield
I have yet to try Eley's as I am happy with Winchesters, but my brief experience with CCI's were that they we utter ****e - more pops and fizzes than your average firework display

Axe
Good choice, they are slighly faster and just slightly more accurate and reliable over the winnies. For hunting I find the winnies hit slightly harder though.

Bazooka Joe
Winchester all the way, bullet expansion is excellent. Not a fan of the CCI's, & Eley I think you just pay for the name. On the other hand they are making a bit of a come back in the Shotgun Cartridges. Bazooka Joe

But who cares, they shoot great through most rifles. The winchesters are almost there accuracy wise, but ive never had the confidence to field test them. Big Dog
I have used both Winchester subs, Eley HP subs and CCi Stingers. NOTE! - CCi Stingers are slighter longer and don't work in Rugers, they are very hard to chamber and jam and mostly won't eject. I was told recently that new Rugers say on the barrel not to use CCi Stingers??? Don't know, just heard this. So, first thing for me Naomi is, what riffle you are shooting them from??? Second I did't like them anyway, they are I think Hyper?? and the ones I did use, bad grouping. I think they are overkill in power and lack accuracy Eley have Hollow points subs, tried them and did't like them, just did not feel the groups were as good, posted them on here last Fall. They also do a Solid point sub for target shooting which are supposed to be good, don't know myself. So Winchester subs for me so far. However, I love the Winchester Lazers (not a sub) which I use 70-100yards with great success, apart from today where I missed a crow at about 40 yrds, :*) :*) I think I thought he was in the bag to early or I may have aimed to high either way he is in a tree tonight. badsworth
This is a bit like comparing apples with oranges isn't it? Why not compare 2 subs or 2 Hi Velocity Rounds? Winchester subs are very greasy and won't extract on my CZ 452. CCI subs are fine and very accurate. So are Eley Subs. CCI stingers are good for foxing (I know someone will make me regret writing this!!!!) and swapping between CCI subs and CCI Hi Veloc is easy because both are copper dipped. Just my two penny worth! B I have never had extraction probs with my CZ 452 using Winchester subs. But have had exraction probs using CCI stuff. The New CCI subs are lead coated, it was the old subs that were copper dipped. Dunkield
Any extraction problems with Winchesters in CZ's can be fixed by cleaning the bolt
Sergeant
Hmm interesting. I have now tried eley, winchester and remingtons in my cz, i find that there is little difference in accuracy between the eley and winny but the remingtons are slightly worse. I havnt had any extraction problems with any of them. I did an experiment a while back to determine hitting power and expansion by firing remington subs and HV and winchester in to 6in clay in the bottom of a bucket. All rounds were HP. The winny stopped about 1in short of the bottom leaving an approx 3in wide crater, the remy sub went right through the lot leaving only a small hole as did the HV although the reesulting path was slightly wider. So that proved that the winnys hit quite a bit harder.
