12borejimbo
I am thinking of buying a hushpower pump, but wanted to know a few things from people who might have one. If I didnt want the mod on the end can I take it off and use the gun normally? How quiet are they? Are they worth it? Do you find it a bit clumbersom to move and swing? stubby
presuming you mean a mossberg hushpower pump, the hushpower is non removable, but you can buy normal barrels to interchange

Guest kenny
I have a 20 Bore Mossberg Hushpower 500 Pump. I got the kit version it comes with a Spare regular Barrel. Would recommend them nice and quiet. Bit of a pain to swing the first few times. But you soon get used to it and the no real bother.

Pigeon Paul
I have a Mossberg 500 .410 hushpower and love it. Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to but once you do it's great! light, low recoil and very quiet.

Did you get the variable choke on the normal barrel? The stock is too short, and the comb too low for me, I keep meaning to sort it out but time not been on my side! John_R
Yes got the choke's but had to phone hushpower but sent next day Chokes, as in screw in units, or the "Polychoke" that stays on the barrel? Mine is the latter, you just twist the collar to go from one extreme to the other.
NorfolkPoacher
I've got the multi choke 20ga a good balance between .410 and 12ga quiet and great on rabbits. Some times I unscrew the can and fixings and shoot it like a normol 20ga pump. Very reliable worth every penny. Atb Dave
