The Essex Hunter
A mate has just landed a keeper’s job on a syndicate shoot a few miles from me, this has opened an opportunity for me to get at the farmers pigeons and foxes to help him out. These were from Monday on the Lucerne after the rain slowed up, his dog Marius marked the long shot birds and picked them up very well. A real treat to see him in action. TEH Lucerne (alfalfa) is a great crop to shoot over, at least 3 harvest's each year for 5 years, so they keep coming back, and whats more only 12/14" high.Lets hope for regular overnight rain to keep this and other crops on the go. Well done and good shooting.
