Mungler
Okay chaps, I have just picked up my new CZ 527 in .22 Hornet - I'll stick some piccies up later. I thought I had lucked out when the shop told me that the rifle came with mounts - I had a look at them and they looked half tidy - they were made of steel and looked like they would take an 8x56 scope. So, all excited I get the rifle home and start the process of putting on my 30 mm scope.... and yes, you guessed it, the scope mounts that came with the rifle were 1". So, I need to buy some mounts for it and for a 30 mm scope with a x56 objective lense. Does anyone know if I can get away with "medium" mounts (there appears to be a good supply of these floating about) or do I need "high" mounts (these appear to be on special order only for a quality make). Any suggestions or any people with some for sale then I'm all ears. Cheers ears.
Billy.
I just put that x56 Swaro on my Remmy 700 and it needed High mounts. (Thanks to GB for the heads up) £55 for the rings and bases from Leupold. Surely you're not penny pinching Mung? If you've got the dovetails on your CZ, you can have my old 30mm rings. FOC, if you pay postage. Edited June 22, 2011 by Billy.

Dunkield
I <think> you may need high, the problem is fouling the rear sight? I have a 50mm scope now on medium Warnes, but I had a 56mm S&B before and I am fairly sure that was on highs. I can take a picture later to give you an idea of clearance
garyb
You need High. Anything with a 56 will be high.

al4x
pm the beardo they are from a swaro he sold me, I know they are 30mm and they look exactly like the ones MB listed. The scope they came from is 50mm so i'm not 100% they are high but If anyone knows dims etc I can check them when home and bung them in the post tomorrow if they will do the job. I'm not after anything for them as they aren't going to get used and are just taking up space. If they didn't fit just pass them onto someone who can use them

Mungler
Alright, just zero'd it using Remington 35gr accutips and it is amazing, 3 or 4 shots to zero and then clover leafing at 100 yards - two goes at a group of 3 and they were all on top or touching eachother. Well chuffed
