figgy
Easier to change between stands, no ballistic difference. They also protect the ends of your barrels. ATB figgy
Scully
Apart from not having to use a tool to fit and remove,I don't know if there are any.After-sales gimmick?
BlaserF3
Easier to remove if you a lazy at cleaning guns and they get stuck. The manufactures like them because they charge more. No doubt some ballistic expert will be along shortly
Hamster
Their main benefit is that gun test writers can say things like: they appear to throw superior patterns compared to internal or shorter chokes . Basically no ballistic/ pattern difference, protect the barrel ends yes, easier to remove yes, easy to spot what you have in yes, make a nice looking gun look a tiny bit ugly yes. Gordon R
Easier to change - easier to remove if they get stuck. Protect the end of the barrel. The rest is garbage.
poontang
Basically no ballistic/ pattern difference, protect the barrel ends yes, easier to remove yes, easy to spot what you have in yes, make a nice looking gun look a tiny bit ugly yes. And more importantly they'll put the end of your barrels an inch closer to the target Every little helps
