libs
Have you been shooting long, if so you may just get used to it like I did. Although Kents do snap. Also, who told you the gun fits?
Cannon
The gun probably doesn't fit or you are bringing yourself to the gun instead of bringing the gun to you.
dr. lecter
its a miroku 3800 trap gun , my scores have improved considerably so i think it fits well , fine while shooting its the next day , feels like ive gone 3 rounds with tyson fury ,. ive been shooting 30 years . trap gun so weighs about 8 pounds enough to soak up recoil . might try softer shells . Cannon
If you are with your gun as one, recoil should travel through you and be barely felt. If you handle your gun indecisively it will kick you. If you handle it determinedly you'll know because you won't feel recoil.
JustJon
Spend £70 and go see a good coach for some professional feedback - feedback from someone who didn't sell you the gun! It'll be the best money you ever spent!

It'll be the best money you ever spent! +1 could be any number of things but a good coaching session should sort it out ( or a kick eez pad)
seeker
Add a visit to your Doctor / Physio / Chiropractor to your 'to do list'. Recoil can be cumulative .. a bit like getting punch drunk? Maybe try a few 24s& 21s ...
seeker
Also if you end up searching for longer term solutions have a look at something like the Isis Recoil system .. he's been there, got the aches and made something that works. apache
21g carts maybe. Is it fixed or multi choke?

It'll be the best money you ever spent! You're not wrong!! So many people spend thousands on equipment and then don't spend a few quid to get the fitting or coaching (me included), its just daft. It really is a good investment, especially if you've got a problem. Treat yourself, you might be surprised.
tjsc
bought a new gun, used it and it did hurt, felt it the next day, had the stock cut back a bit and a 'kick-eeze' put on......brilliant, next day after shooting, didnt feel a thing!! £100 for the adjustment and kick-eeze, worth it!! And it only took a couple of hours. Terry
BlaserF3
Kent Velocity do have a lot of recoil and I would not use them at all, if you must shoot 28gms try Gamebore XLR or Hull Chevron. I use 24gm Express High Velocity and recoil is not a problem for me. A well fitting gun will help but it's no help if you are suffering from the recoil of the cartridge. There are some "soft" shooting shells out there it's a case of finding one that you are happy with. A gun that does not fit normally smacks you in the face or cheek, it seems like it's the cartridges to me.
Guest cookoff013
homeload, soft cartridges, no recoil, like kittens licking your shoulder.
Spara Dritto
homeload, soft cartridges, no recoil, like kittens licking your shoulder. Haha! ^^ funny comment, I love it - cats suckling my jacket right now - damn it! Try hull comp x 21g plastic. Cookoff013 summed up the feeling in one, I prefer the 28s and can't feel any difference between the two. Also, if you do want a recoil pad, REACTAR pads by browning are very good, I'm selling mine as I brought a new gun (sporter rather then a field) so the gun soaks up more of the recoil. If you want it I've only used it once and will sell for £15.00 including postage 1st class. Let me know.
