docholiday
After a poor day on the pigeons over rape stubble on friday, we went back to our pig farm. managed 32 corvids. 4 pigeon and 1 squirrel. weather was good with a westerly breeze and the corvids decoyed beautifully, Don't you just love it when a plan comes together Edited August 15, 2011 by docholiday
docholiday
forgot to ask, we have a problem with the pigs getting to the crows before us, if the do they rip them apart. its horrible to watch but they seem to take great delight in pulling them to bits, always head first, the crunching noise make your hair stand on end. I tried reasoning with mrs porker but she wasnt having any of it and I wasnt going to ask for my crow back!! anybody else seen this? steve_b_wales
Well done on getting them mate. Apparently, pig's are the best way of disposing of a human being (not that I have any experience, of course!)They will eat almost every bone in the body. Steve. I posted some time ago about a pigeon shooting session where the birds were falling behind me into an orchard and the pigs were getting to them before I could. I have also seen them eating a shot rabbit and a squirrel.
fenboy
I remember as a kid shooting sparrows (dont do it now please) with my grandads airsporter around a chicken run and the chicken would rip them apart and eat them in seconds if they dropped inside the wire
