Any good or is ther an alternative. Plus anything else I'll need. Oh and how many bullets can you make with 1kg of powder. And were do I buy the bullet heads from??? steve_b_wales
What kit are they advertising. And the amount of bullets you can make with a tub of powder, depends on the amount of grains you are loading with Heads can be bought from most RFD's. Take your licence with you, and get them to add the heads to your 'ammo purchase' column, as this will show the police that you are reloading. Steve. PS. I started reloading with a Lee Anniversary kit, and just bought some dies, and a few other bits.
Redgum
I started out like Steve with lee gear, but the four hole turret deluxe kit. Expanding bullet heads cannot be posted, legally anyhow so as above, your friendly RfD. If you want to save some pennies head for Norman Clark at the Midland Gamefair. I know we all have to make a living but my local RfD sells 100gr prohunters for £38 per 100, bought 200 from Norman Clarks for £36. Think I get about 350 ish from a kilo of Vit160. Imperfection
Oh and how many bullets can you make with 1kg of powder. Well a 1/2kg tub of powder works out to 7000 grains and if for example you were reloading .223 which (depending on manufacturer) requires 24grains-you would be able to make 291 rounds of ammunition. phaedra1106
No, it's for rifle/pistol, have a look here http://www.titanreloading.com/kits about £60-£70 plus shipping and a few £s import duty or try Henry Krank, good prices and only £4 shipping. Only other thing you'll need is a set of dies, the Lee PaceSetter dies have a full length sizer, factory crimp and a bullet seater (personally I added a Collet Neck Sizing Die to my set). You'll also need another coupple of Quick Lock extra bushings http://www.titanreloading.com/reloading-die-accessories/lee-breech-lock-quick-change-bushings If you're ever anywhere near Durham/Newcastle you'd be more then welcome to come and see how straight forward it is Edited August 22, 2011 by phaedra1106

al4x
Thanks. Its a rock chucker supreme marster reloading kit. Price £374.99 have a look on some US sites, the kit is a good one I think mine ended up about £250 including customs charges. When you get the press you will realise where the cost goes! Opticswarehouse is also reasonable for most bits. Expanding heads can be imported http://www.cliffsgunsmithing.com/ seem to be well priced and deliver pretty promptly. As long as you have enough space to posses it seems its a legal way of getting expanding bullets at not far off half price. They also sell the 75grn vmax everyone seems to say is stopping production just Hornady don't seem to know that yet p.s if you have the cash the RCBS kit beats the lee hands down and you won't want to upgrade anywhere near as fast. phaedra1106
One thing to watch if you're getting the Lee kit here, make sure it's the newer version with the AutoPrime XR (square tray) certainly a big improvement on the older version but still not a match for the RCBS Universal Hand Priming Tool Edited August 25, 2011 by phaedra1106
