Jonesie Posted August 24, 2011 Report Share Posted August 24, 2011 Just thought I’d say hi I have lived in London all my life so was not natural brought up around field sports. My Dad is from Somerset originally, so from a very early age I was filled with stories of my dad's childhood, snaring rabbits for pocket money, working dogs, rough shooting, wildfowling being chased by game keepers etc. It has fascinated 100 times more than any video game could. I first got into fishing (through my Dad and Granddad) and I still am a very keen fly fisherman trying to get out at least once a week in the summer, I love course fishing too. I have recently taken up shooting. I have had some instruction on clays and done a bit of rough and pigeon shooting and have recently received by licence and bought my first gun. I don’t have any friends who shoot or even like fishing but it doesn’t bother me, it’s what I love to do. So basically, it’s a very steep learning curve at the moment and I would appreciate any bits of knowledge, help etc kindly passed my way.
