Wait to you see mate; as much as I hate to say it, this is the stage of the tournament when the English start. They have been in the last 2 World Cup finals and have a good chance of making it 3 in a row. They beat the French in the last 2 world cups also.

and should have won both not just the one... :yp:

I think they'll win.

But the only way they'll put a score on frnace is if france fall apart.

If England were capable of playing open-scoring rugby they would have taken the opportunity long before now...

and I def don't think they ahve the game to beat Ireland, should we both progress...

South Africa v Australia in the morning. That's a tough one to call. It'll be very close this one!

I think the Boks pack will squeeze the Crims to death and i dont think it will be that close as i would have before the tournament started. Both teams havent performed to their max but it should be a good game.Wales and New Zealand final unless the Kiwis do their obligatory choking.

Wales certainly won't fear the Frogs but they still have to make sure they perform as if it's the Final!

Tomorrow concerns me as to what Slade does in the game with Argentina.Slade IMO is not good enough to play in the Black Jersey but we'll see tomorrow!

You are looking spot on fella. The Boks playing some lovely rugby with great hands but they are getting humped at the breakdown with Pockock immense for the crims.Way too many turnovers but if they can stop that happening in the 2nd half they should get more points on the board.

I think the All Blacks have got past their choking point. I can't see anybody stopping them now. However I would like a NH team to win it so I will be cheering on Wales (first choice) or France.

Never count Australia out!It will be tough for AB's next Sunday against the Crims but I do think home advantage will play a big part especially at fortess Eden Park!

Cmon ALL BLACKS!

Well my predictions were'nt quite right but i did enjoy the Welsh win. Wales can beat France, and reach the final, wether they will or not is another thing! What i will say is that i do feel that we have had a good World Cup, so anything else from now on is a Bonus!

I felt for Ireland though, as maybe it would of been a better reflection of this competition if we'd met in the semis.

Cheers

I agree Aled.Wales have had a wonderful World Cup and Im sure before the Tournament started a lot of people i know didn't think Wales would make the knock-out stages!

Wales will definately move up in the IRB rankings through this though!

You can't call either Semis as I think they'll be very close encounters.

Under the current direction the refs are operating under I unfortunately don't think he had any option but to send him off. But Wales can still do it.

********.If you have watched this world cup tell me how many others have been sent off for such a tackle and how many have been dealt with it in a sensible manner by issueing a penalty, yellow card or both?Stunning effort by Wales and they will rue two pens missed by Hooky that were pretty straight forward and Halfpenny was so unlucky with his.

Any 'spear type' tackle was always going to be punished harshly, particularly given that Warburton both let go of him in the air, and then came crashing down using the face of Clerc to break his fall. This makes an interesting read: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/wales/8828750/Rugby-World-Cup-2011-Sam-Warburton-red-card-harsh-but-what-choice-did-referee-Alain-Rolland-have.html
