Had a look out on Saturday morning with the 22, as I got near the farm the heavens opened so I spent the first hour trawling the net trying to pass the time away. When the weather finally broke I was straight out and off down the field. No sooner had I got to the bottom of the field 2 rabbits were sitting munching away on the grass, 2 shots and 2 rabbits in the bag. Onto the next field and about 40 yards away was a lovely black rabbit another shot and another rabbit down.

A quick run back to the Defender now as the rain was starting again. Half hour later and I was out again and so where the rabbits and another 3 fell to the trusty 22. Off to the other side of the farm now and another 3 rabbits fell just before the rain started again so off back to the Defender and decided to head off as the rain was getting quite heavy.

This was last weekend on the same farm and with the weather being better I was hoping to get a few for the pot. After a walk around a few fields I managed to bag these 15 all shot at 60 yards and under.

3 weeks ago on a different place (horse paddock) I drove round in the Defender trying to loose the horses that had decided to follow me round I managed to pick off these 15 rabbits which wasn’t a bad bag as its only a 12 acre paddock. It’s the first time I’ve been there this year as it doesn’t get too many rabbits on but the owner asked me if I had time could I pop over and sort them as the numbers were starting to build up. Ended the day with 15 and a big thank you for coming so soon to sort them out

Popped over to a mates permission where they have a lot of Hares and yes the numbers do need controlling. We walked side by side with the combine and accounted for these few rabbits and a couple of Hares.

A couple more Hares from my mates permission that I have shot over the last few weeks with 22 and shotgun.

Back out on a mate’s permission and he was driving this time whilst I was doing the shooting. Not too many rabbits around on this ground be we still managed 9 which isn’t bad for this area.

Just a few more pictures from my various outings over the last month or so.

And finally the result of some poor driving on my mates part. Went out shooting empty field and he manages to reverse his Defender into a fence post  didn't turn out funny for me though as I had the job of repairing it

Crazy that.

Just the sun and plenty of dirt (apart from the back door which was painted by someone else the wrong colour so I had to do it again) The last pics where it is painted its still wet literally just finished painting it at 10:00pm. Colours abit different now its dry. :good:
