MM
Sad that somebody has been killed regardless. Im sure his family will be left to pick up the pieces on his side. The reality though is different. He shouldnt have been there, and if your going to play with fire................ The guy who has been arrested for murder should be entitled to deffend himself and his family. If such force as stabbing someone is needed, then so be it. Had he not entered his house, it wouldnt have happened. Its just a fact that people will always try and get something for nothing, and they think crime pays. In this case, he paid with his life. I do feel sorry for the guy who has been arrested though, not just because he is being held, but also for the fact that he has killed someone. I hope its something he can get over, and realise he was acting for the right reason. Its something that he might never get over. Im not liberal, i dont like to see people killed for any reason, but sometimes there is no choice.

al4x
simply he is arrested as a matter of course till the full facts are known. After all the ultimate fact we all know is someone is dead and he killed them. There will be an investigation if they were burgling the house and it was his own knife the charges will all be dropped as it will be known to be self defence and wasn't pre meditated. The last guy went through the same thing and was cleared no problem, the law is pretty clear you can defend yourself but if you sit behind the door armed waiting for burglars and leave the door unlocked so they can get in you will go down for it. JR1960
Sad for the guy's family I guess, but if you go armed into someone's house and threaten them and their family I'm afraid I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep if you get stuck with your own knife..........
