i shoot fac air and 22lr plus shotgun but decided to buy a sub 12ft lb pcp as ive not owned one for some time. I bought the little ultra a couple of weeks ago and have had really enjoyed using it. These five bunnies were the result of an hour on a permission just up the road from my house. I went out last night on another permission and shot 12 rats with it using my sony camcorder and laser. Havnt got pics but will shoot a vid next time and post it on here.

nice one!! what make/model is that? and how much did you pay for it, if you dont mind me asking? Im after a non FAC rifle, just for bunnies :good:

Hi,

Its a .177 bsa ultra. I bought new for £370 just so i have a two year guarantee. Its the first new sub 12ft lb rifle ive owned after owning many second hand rifles. I have a 40ft lb rapid 7 which is a lovely rifle but i just fancied something lighter and more suitable to ratting and mounting nv. Ive been suprised at how affective the ultra is. Its lightweight and very short even with the hw mod on it ( mod pictured is an awt). Over the crono i get 35 full power shots which is enough for an average hunting session. If i go on a long ratting session i will sometimes take my divers bottle although ive yet to need it.

Ive used logun penetrators which grouped very well but ive struggled to find anywhere local to buy some more so im now using h&n ftts having had excellent results on rabbits and rats.
