30-6
Is it good to have a poor day, whether shooting or fishing ? So you still enjoy it. If you hit everything you shot at or caught everything you cast at would it get boring ?
Scully
Can't say I've ever had a bad day really.I get days when i feel a bit disappointed with the way things have gone, but simply being out there has to make it a good day doesn't it?Even when I've been p**s wet through it hasn't necessarily spoiled my day. Just sitting on the river bank with a rod, catching nothing, has to be better than watching X Factor(which is what I'm trying to ignore at the moment!) TJ91
Yes I think I would get bord if I hit everything. No no need for me to worry though, I miss more than I hit! Have many blank dos and I am still mad keen!
Bad Monkey
I would say it's good to have a bad day now and again so that you do enjoy the good ones. Of course, take my opinion with a pinch of salt, i'm a relative newcomer to shooting so i have more bad days than good. But i do genuinely feel that if i hit everything i would get bored. fenboy
Bad days make the good ones sweeter , I dont have many blank days because if there is nothing about I dont go. there is always someting to learn from blank days though when fishing I think ,a blank when pigeon shooting though is down to only one thing and thats your in the wrong field !,the only time I get a little frustrated is if I am shooting poorly, once I start getting to 2-1 and over I tend to start cursing myself
Frenchieboy
I believe that it does us all a bit of good when we have a "bad day" every now and then. Heaven knows I have more than my fair share of "bad days", and when I do it makes me appreciate the "good days" even more. The "bad days" also makes me sit back and think about where I am going wrong as it is more often than not me that has caused the problems/bad days rather than my "equipment". Only when I can work out what my faults are and how to correct them can I even up the score between the "good days" and tha "bad days" making the "good days" (Yes, I do have them now and then) even more memorable and enjoyable! Alycidon
Yes, its character building. Hit everything or most things most times and I would be looking for ways to make it more of a challenge. Also when things are flowing well then its simply great, bring it on !!. Cosd
The last good day I had was at Bakeboys permission. Since then it's been poor, but I still enjoy those days, especially when sharing a hide with a good friend In fact I'd give up a good day alone for a quieter day with a shooting buddy. As good as it is shooting a red letter day alone, there's nothing like sharing a good shot especially when your mate takes it.
