should have asked are they a reliable and well built gun yes i did try it not having shot before its a bit hard to tell if every thing is ok

Erm not having shot before? What are you planning on shooting, I would get to a local clay range pronto and find a qualified coach to give you some lessons and advice, I hate to say it but I think the shop saw you coming!

Have a search, but webley & Scott aren't the brittish institution they once were and now just get their moniker stamped onto cheap stuff built mainly in turkey, have a search and see what other owners think...

try nail polish remover for the sticky bit

Whatever you do ,Don't use nail varnish remover on it ,it will strip any pain or finish off it ,and if you get any on the plastic bits it will melt that too ,use a bit WD40 on a rag and just rub the glue off.

Hi a friend of mine has one he took it out the other day, fired one shot, the thing packed up he brought it round last night and i took the barrel off to find the piston had sized in the housing under the barrel, tried some wd40 still no joy,had to use a brass drift to knock it out,we found traces of rust so have to assume it had not been cleaned last time out,got to work with the wire wool and some oil and its fine now a mate had the same happen to a brand new hatsan so beware you need to keep the piston clean and oiled.

You can leave the bolt forward when locked away and yes i would clean the mag tube and piston including housing to remove all the oil put on in the factory motor oil is the best just a light coating is fine.

Now you've had your excitement dampened and heard all the things you should have done my friend, welcome to shooting and shotgun ownership. Enjoy your new gun, as long as your happy with it and it does what it was designed to do, don't worry. (If not, sell it and buy something else, like we all do)

WD40 or Mr Sheen and a good rub with a cloth will get the glue off, may take a few attempts.

Leave the bolt forward when stored in your cab, always open when not in use when you're out and about, so other's know it's safe.

Don't need to clean it before use if it's new imo :-)

But keep it clean after use.

Have fun learning and shooting and keep asking questions, the stupid questions are the ones we don't ask :-)
