petrol_head29
just wondering if anyone else shares the same concern as i do, iv been shooting for a while and as most shooters no about the accidents that can happen when people have loaded a 20g cartridge into a 12g shotgun. now all 20g cartridges seem to be yellow and easily identifiable but when i opened a box of RC sipes this morning in 12g witch have normally been grey in colour i found this, now even the most experienced shooter who owned 2 or 3 different callibers could get muddled hear if one had been placed in the wrong bag. KFC
I agree and I make sure that my 20g are always in a seperate bag. The only thing I can say is that yellow 12g won't fit in a 20g so I would be more concerned about red, blue or green 20g.
holly
i personally think each caliber should be one color saves any mistakes

Blackpowder
i personally think each caliber should be one color saves any mistakes Once upon a time 12 gauge were red, 16 blue and 2obore yellow. As we all try and pick up our discarded shells its time manufacturers abandoned green and white in 12 gauge one difficult to find on grass the other invisible in snow. I won't buy RC cartridges because of this, or any other maker who I hear about.

Mr Potter
I agree and I make sure that my 20g are always in a seperate bag. The only thing I can say is that yellow 12g won't fit in a 20g so I would be more concerned about red, blue or green 20g. I agree with KFC, I would be horrified with a 20b cartridge in any other colour than yellow but, certainly in modern carts, I've never come across any. Yellow 12b shells do seem "not right" but as above they don't fit in a 20b so it's more a case of perception than actual danger. paul041075
My sipes are yellow, first slab I've owned though They're 32g 6 fibres As far as I believe the yellow Sipes are plastic wad, fibre wad are yellow. I would be double checking that the ones you have are definitely plastic. Just bought some 32g 5's in fibre and they are grey.

HDAV
yes but if a 20g got into your 12g bag? :( As long you don't buy RC's just don't put yellow in a 12!
poontang
yes but if a 20g got into your 12g bag? :( I see what you're saying, but don't you look at what you're putting in your gun? If you dropped a 20g into a 12g it would 'disappear' down the barrel. Surely that would lead you to believe there might be a problem? On the other hand, if you DON'T look at what you're loading then it wouldn't matter what colour the cartridge was anyway.
