Generally another easy way to tell during breeding season is that the cock bird sits on the nest from about 10am - 18-00 and the hen sits the rest of the time untill the squabs are about 10 days old and both birds leave the nest to collect food, the cock is normally a little thicker around the neck area and a bit more rounder on the head

True :- A male will strut its stuff cooing and turn 360 deg A hen bird will not turn 360 deg. although she will strut an coo, the male normally but not always will have a thicker wattle. and yes he does apear to have a beer belly

 

When youhave kept racing pigeons for over 20years you can just tell by looking :good:
