mikey2341
I'm off to watch a field trial tomorrow, do people who work their dogs trial them as well, or do they tend to be a seperate breed of people? I'm looking forward to an interesting day!
oscarsdad
I am hoping to get into trialling with my new cocker pup so would be interested to hear what it is like.
labstaff
Its a great day out watching the trial, stay with the red flag though and don't walk in front of it! Is it a retriever/spaniel/HPR trial?

t jack
I trial and work my dogs at shoots, as long as you're consistent with the dog, I don't see a problem with it.
eccles
Hope you enjoy your day I used to trial springers and work them. But the trial one's i used to shoot over them as if i was in a trial.A hour or so shooting most days a few finds and a few retrieves per outing .And a hour at a time beating
Tom&Dexter
make sure you are at the meeting point early and keep your ears open the trial may be held at a different location you may need to jump in a 4x4 if you dont have one. Its a great day out especially if the viewing is good or you can get on the game bag. Take a bag with a flask etc in as you may be well away from the vehicles at ea break or they may even just run through Most of all enjoy and talk to people they are always happy to help (IMHO)
