Thunderbird
Just looking at how to get tighter thumbsticks a bit more comfortable, you you guys use a crook-knife to gouge out the middle of the Vee?
Bazooka Joe
Holesaw TB have a look at the link, you'll need to hold the stick in a vice, (drilling/milling machine). The hole saw will give you a decent shape. just dress it up afterwards.
Thunderbird
Cheers just had a look. Thing is I don't have a bench or vice (well apart from drink ) at the moment (but I'm working on it). Could use a coarse round file I suppose. Was looking for something a little more rustic to while away a few moments occasionally.
Bazooka Joe
Yep, they give you the basic shape, then doctor to your liking. Try a round rasp..

stripey999
I did mine with a dremmel sanding attachment. I used a rough grit to make the shape then a softer one to make it smooth. Edited becasue i can't spill. demonwolf444
bit of broom handle with sand paper stapled to it, staple something harsh grit first then work your way down to fine glass paper.

gamekeeper1960
Just looking at how to get tighter thumbsticks a bit more comfortable, you you guys use a crook-knife to gouge out the middle of the Vee? There are so many way to widen the vee on a thumb stick but it does deppend on how big it is for starters if theres enough material I use a 3/4 inch sanding band which if you dont have a big dremal you buy cheap kits to use in your drill, but there is'nt enough material the as stated you'll have to bend it with either hot water or boiling vegie oil then finish inside with sanding band to remove rough area.
