bullet boy
It depends if you want a thin or thick reticle? The S&B 8x56 reticle is quite thick IMO but a quality optic that I can't recommend enough,it's a brilliant scope! I've got a Falcon Menace 10x42 side parallax scope on my Air Arms S410k rifle and this particular scope has a very thin reticle!A nice optic that is good value for money! Clydebuilt
I have an old swarovski 6 x 42 on my CZ452 .22lr & its the perfect companion in my opinion. Tried many other all singing all dancing but inferior optical qualty scopes before deciding on a fuss free fixed power job. Should have stuck to my keep-it-simple approach I used for scoping my stalking rifles and saved some time n cash in the long run. Should be in the region of £250 - £320 second hand condition dependant for a 4x36 or 6x42 swarovski. HTH Clyde
wildfowler.250
I like meopta 7x50
Dunkield
I don't want to head up a Meopta fan club but... all you need is nice clear 7x50 and a fine reticle on a .22 You really don't need knobs and dials and parallax and IR and all that nonsense. People say its a waste of money putting one on a rimfire, and then go and and pay the same amount on some 'top end' mickey mouse airgun scope. Sorry forgot to add - IMHO
Oly
Hawke with an SR6 reticle or similar, brilliant for knowing your drop and rough range finding...which is critical for accurate shooting with something as loopy as a .22lr Should be able to source one second hand for about £65 Edited January 20, 2012 by Oly

kyska
You have pm. Yes thanks a lot for that fella, thoughtful of you... I've got an optimate 6x44 on my .22lr, cracking little scope nice thin ret, 30mm tube cost £132 from livens. its lovely and clear good under the lamp too. I don't think they are imported anymore, the website only advertises Weaver scopes now, otherwise they might of been a contender.
