Thanks for the advice!

Which model should I go for ?

What do you want to use it for, I have the Raffeallo crio which is a wood stock great for clays, just need to be carfull if using it elseware, also like the super sport its so tempting, must keep telling myself resit it.

Theres the M2 and several others in black synthetic versions and think in camo as well.

As you can see by my sig, I would recommend the Supersport, but I do appreciate that the Black finish makes it a bit of a marmite gun. If you can get to doveridge, they used to have a demo version of this, just don't forget to take your SGC. As far as price for Supersports, Derek Lee near Horncastle takes some beating for new gun prices. :good:

if i was you try one before you buy one.

they are different to o/u .

i have a al 391 and i think its great.

inertia or gas is all much the same if you keep it clean.(in terms of reliablity)

i have had both, franchis are by far the best gun for the money if your on a budget.(i wouldnt buy a hatstand)

if you want to fire 3.5 inch shell its the xtrema you want.

+1 for most of the above

Make sure you try as many as you can! my experience is they all feel slightly "different", you may like something I don't... etc. I bought a S1 mossy, cos it felt good, recoil is light and it fits! cheapish too, so a good rough shooting gun. It is no grade 3 browning!! - depends what you want...

Any of the franchi's will do you proud, i have a 712 raptor and it is absolutly faultless !!!!

+1 on that 712. depends on how much you want to spend??

2nd hand raptor for 500 ish is a bargain

p.s. franchi 912 is a 3.5 inch gas auto, if you can find one.
