Frank
money no object....... a cooper But no way could i justify that sort of money on any rimfire No, i agree, its a bit too much, unless its a keeper for life and you really want it and will not change your mind down the road. Over here, if you by an anschutz .22 or 17hmr, and in sako, ect, you are basiclly stuck with it, as no dealer, unless your prepared to pay on top, will not take it off you if you want to change it for something else in the future. The reason being is, they cant shift them, as their are so many cheap and reliable .22s out their, that its not worth their while, unless they get orderd. Everyone i know thats in my gun club ither has a CZ, marlin or Ruger, mainly CZ and im not just saying that, its the truth. Frank.
webber
I fancied the Sako quad in .17 HMR. However haing inspected one, decided that, for me Sako had got it wrong. Disapointing, but wrong. I therefore eventually got to see an Anshutz with thumb hole stock, eurika, what a tool. Tanks to dead Eyed Duck I managed to track one down. Deposit paid, and hope to collect on Saturday. The Leupold VX-L scope is on order from the states, but won't arrive for a couple of weeks. webber

Axe
Its hard to beat the Anschutz, they are a very good rifle. I wonder how the Quad will fair when the new wooden stock arrives.
