Air Arms servicing

Hello,

Does anyone know roughly what a service for an S410 would cost? (if there is such a thing?) and recommended people to do it?

I've just bought a second hand S410 and I'm only managing 3" groupings at 25yds, as opposed to near perfection with my mates.

Cheers

Thanks lads, I knew something wasn't right.

I've tried different pellets, none of them were much good. The strange thing I found is that grouping will be consistent, then there will be a couple of fliers, but they'll always group closely together too :blink:

Mounts are tight.

I'll give it a go without the mod and see what happens. Otherwise I'll give them a call.

Cheers!

Some good-ish news. I'm down to less than 1" at 30 good paces (35 yards or so). I basically took the scope and silencer off, then put them back on again & made sure everything was tight.

I think I've found the reason for the point of zero suddenly jumping about for a while - as someone suggested it wasn't indexing properly. I've bent the little copper strip and it now indexes correctly most of the time. I can't seem to get it to index correctly all of the time by bending the copper strip alone. The magazine probably doesn't help as it only indexes/clicks into the next round when it is very close to the correct point.

I'll get another chance to test it next weekend & see how well the coper bending has worked.

@Falcon - Hawke MAP Pro.

What sort of accuracy do most people manage with these bits of kit? I was expecting to get the pellet through the same hole each shot!

Cheers for the advice everyone. I'm a bit happier with my purchase now!
