bunny_blaster
After heading out at 8.00 i spent the entire morning frustratingly watching birds pilling in to pieces of ground that arent mine. Mainly on fields of clover over National trust ground. I found a few on patches of rape but nothing that was worth setting up for. I also noticed the flocks are starting to brake up now into smaller groups of 10-30 birds. After more driving i found about 200 birds sitting around a small field of rape so loaded my self up with the gear and headed off. It was getting on a bit now and by the time i got to where i wanted to set up it was 12.00. It was a bit of a slow start as i had no birds for the magnet but eventually got a couple and got it going. The birds starting coming back slowly but they where very reluctant to decoy and flared off at the last minute. Most of the birds shot were just passing but some memorable shots where taken at high crossers. I tried moving everything around several times but to no avail. I eventually called it a day at 17.30 as the farmer came into the field and started spraying. I finished with 62 picked and then 1 more picked on the way back to the car. sitsinhedges
Excellent bag I think the birds have all been shot at before by now and are wary, I had the same problems with flaring off regardless of what I did to the pattern aswell. Doubt it will change until we get some fresh birds to go after in a few months

pigeon controller
Well done Ben , we have found the birds to be spooky and decoy shy. We need them to split up and pair up so they have something else on their minds.
