Davyo
I bought a adult sized 110cc quad one of these jap things(semi auto 3speed & 1 reverse), was a little hesitant at the time and only cost £600 new(won at auction for £460), just changed the chain for a decent one( originals seem to stretch quickly) & a few mods to the carb,£20.00 spent in total) it had a rack already on the back & i just bolted a deep shop type bread tray on the back, i get all my gear in the back nets deeks ect, bouncer poles strap onto the side.I have used it over the winter & never been stuck, farmer is happy as its light & as long as i stick to the margins he's ok with it.It is ok for the job as i'm not flying around, only taking kit to place of set up & park it out the way.(saves my back).I Just pop it on a small flat bed trailer cost (£70.00 ebay) i leave all the kit on the quad all the time( only remove it to wash it down) which means i just drive it out of the garage & onto the trailer & strap it down.Make sure the cargo net is over the back tray & of i go.I know its cheap & may be sneared at but its fit for puropose & parts are easily obtainable & as cheap as chips(spare carb can cost as little as £15.00new).I looked at formans ect and i would love one but if your not prepeared to spend a lot, most i looked at around £1000.00 & under where prity rough(there will be good ones out there but you may spend a lot of time looking, take someone with you who has one for advise). If i get 3 yrs out of it i will be chuffed ( the best part is i was originally looking at 4x4,s but road tax fuel & costs, i get to keep my little 1.6 tdi fiesta (£30 road tax & 62mls per gallon)the quad is light so when towing i still get 57mls pg), currently fitting a gun rest to the front & a fitting for a lightforce lamp. Top tip is just keep on top of it any thing that looks a little weak just change it.I have even had all the kit and my 2 sons on it & it didn't bottom out. Davyo
think this has worked Bought this brand new for 460.00, changed the chain & a few bits on the carb & to be honest it does the job.Its called a Panthera 110cc 4 stoke (full size), with semi auto box, 3 forward & 1 reverse.I know its not a Honda but it does the job of taking all the kit.Really quiet as well ok for lamping from, evidence is hanging above it in the second picture. Brad93
If you want reliability, rugged and consistent ability in any weather there is only two names - Yamaha and Honda. I've just had my Yamaha out today and it was going through water a foot an a half deep, it's only a 125 auto

gixer1
As said - if its going to get hard used a lot then buy one of the Jap 4 (honda, Suzuki, Yamaha or Kawasaki) - although if its a "now and again" thing and you don't intend to pull landrovers out of ditches there are some cheaper options around, I wanted one for messing about on rough terrain and throwing a bag of dog food/roe deer on the back now and again - i have also pulled a grey fergie along with mine, and you can buy one second hand for just over a grand, my friend bought an identical bike and they have been no problem and have through the worst of scottish hill terrain in all weathers - I have bottled it before the bike has given up!, like anything else if you look after it and service it regularly it should be ok.
