HDAV
Lol..... ""We couldn't be more thrilled about how well he is getting on," said RSPCA inspector Rachel Hayward. "He was quiet on arrival, but now he is much livelier and is eating very well. "Miracles do happen and I would urge anyone who does hit a bird or animal when they are driving to please stop. "Either call for help or collect the animal if possible and take it to a local vet."" Saves a local shoot a few £

Mungler
Interestingly the last bird I accidentally hit was a pheasant on the way back from the 2010 PW charity shoot. We stopped, picked it up and Evil Elvis took it home and ate it. Job jobbed This recently came up in conversation as being the nicest pheasant he had eaten, probably because it was Northern and not full of shot. pontbeck
A friend of mine, a retired Vet, tells the storey of the man who brought in a pheasant to his practise that he had hit with his car. My friend told him it was beyond saving and he would pts. The man asked how much he owed and my friend said he would do it free but the customer insisted he pay and gave him a fiver, it was a few years ago.My friend was pleased to be paid £5 and given his supper.
