bunnykiller
Might be, I am getting a lift off Shaun (bunnykiller) but if his is only a 2 seater (van) i will take mine after all you are the reigning PW northern meet champion, after the first one at Widdrington Yes Shaun mine is only two seats, so if someone needs a lift i am traveling from Widdrington and can pick up anywhere on the way. markm
yes i am up for that. Mark how about you? Cool with me, although I could take my car, might be a bit more room? The only thing that will stop me would be my ducks coming. I will know a week before though.
Lord Geordie
I have taken the liberty to commission a set of 3 clay shooting trophies for the day. shaun4860
Clays would be my bet, either 50 or 100 sporting, whichever people fancy Edited June 9, 2012 by shaun4860
Lord Geordie
I guess it all depends on how many turn up on the day. If there is a decent turn out then the best option may perhaps be a 50 bird flush. It WOULD be good if we manage a 100 bird flush though as I would prefer that. We will also most likely need to split into groups as if were all standing waiting to use one trap we would be lucky to get down to trap 5 before closing time  If we go in groups of 5-10 depending on numbers it will work more efficiently! We will also need to keep some form of score cards to find out who is the top shots of the day for the Trophies. Still waiting for them to arrive but they should be here in time. Wriggler
There are a few sport trap type stands as well as the sporting and skeet. If we want something in particular it might be an idea to phone in advance as sometimes they have corporate days that take up the sport trap and skeet stands. beeredup
gutted its not the weekend after! as i am offshore until the 26th
100milesaway
Dave normally has at least 10 or 12 stands laid out down the lane, i don't know how you could decide who shot what on a flush so perhaps it would be better to shoot the sporting stands. If anyone wants more, then there is always the sport trap layout in front of the cabin. If we only shoot 50 clays each that would only be 4 to 6 on each stand which if the stands all have a different pair on each won't leave much chance to get your eye in.I am hoping to shoot 100 to make the trip worthwhile. from Auntie. Wriggler
The sporting stands are normally available and a good mixture of targets.
Lord Geordie
gutted its not the weekend after! as i am offshore until the 26th I am hoping this wont be the only time We used to meet up all over for a few year and it would be good.to do it again. We did Thimbleby as well as other clay grounds in Hull and over to the west etc. Dave normally has at least 10 or 12 stands laid out down the lane, i don't know how you could decide who shot what on a flush so perhaps it would be better to shoot the sporting stands. Lord Geordie
Right Chaps! Had a word with Dave! He would like to Know how many of us intend having a Bacon Buttie before we start? Cost is £3 with teas included a free refill I need to know how many want this as He has 3 groups down next weekend and does not normally cater for such large groups. Mike! I have you down as a HELL YES! As i know how much bacon butties mean to you  Also with more than 10 going we get a Free place for the 11th. We can do either of the following! Shoot Cost returned to the Winner? Discount on the Butties?
shaun4860
Well Im definatley coming but backs playing up so may or may not shoot, Will decide on the day, Also markm and bunnykiller are still definatley maybes What time do you want us there? Also a discount on the butties would be fairer as there are people who dont shoot clays on a regular basis coming, The way my back is at the mo I think I will be donating my raffle prize from the charity shoot to the winner. Free 100 sporting shoot at Spennymoor (non registered) (originally donated by Flazz)
Lord Geordie
If we can all meet there for 11am Hope your match fit for the 23rd Shaun Remember if ANYONE needs a lift then let us Know. I will have room in my car Edited June 16, 2012 by Lord Geordie
100milesaway
I don't need a bacon butty but think it's a good idea for the discount on the butties. Looking forward to this. I pressume it will be 100 sporting. If we split the group into 2 that will ensure we have a practised buttoner and marker for each group. Nothing worse than when your not used to shooting clays to have to deal with buttons and score boards as well.I don't mind marking and will also offer assistance where needed. from Auntie.
