Iv'e shot Remmies for over forty years, iv'e tried other makes on occasions but no other auto in the world handles like a REMINGTON. The reason they got a bit of a bad reputation for malfunctioning was because there were thousands in circulation, many of them twenty or thirty years old and shot to death. I remember buying an old clunker in the eighties and putting another 100,000 shells through it, and yes it did jam from time to time. I bought a brand new 1187 in 1990 and put 200,000 shells through it and it was still giving good service when i sold it three years ago, i then bought another new one that will see me out for the rest of my shooting life. As Clarkson would say, the best gun IN THE WORLD.
